March Supergrounds News

Early March has seen two days of concerted effort on the Supergrounds front. Our first task was to cut and prepare the planters that were generously donated by Mr. MacKellig. These were opened up using a grinder borrowed from the highschool, but we soon found that the bouys we were using were full of polystyrene balls, sparking a mass clean up operation involving many of the children!

Early March has also seen the delivery of two boats, kindly donated by Mallaig Boat yard. A big thanks must go to Mr. Peter Coull for bringing the boats up to the school. Many opf the children were involved in moving and cleaning the boats out, and the Nursery children very kindly helped to paint the rowing boats. Harbour Master Pimmy has also very kindly donated 3 Creel's for the boats, and we plan to get sone big ropes and fishing net to add to the display. We also intend to paint water onto the floor and add oars and steering wheels to the two boats!

We also spent time re-painting our famous 'snake alley' which involved much shaking of paint cans and some steady hands!
